Our Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 UN global goals were formulated in order to ensure a sustainable world for future generations. In this context, a reliable and climate-neutral energy supply plays a crucial role, and that is why Lundsby naturally strives to promote the UN global goals. Because they are ours as well.
We are proud to do our part
Lundsby works purposefully to promote the UN global goals 6, 7 and 12, which are about clean water and sanitation, sustainable energy and responsible consumption and production.

Sustainable Development Goal #6
CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION
The mission of this Sustainable Development Goal is to ensure that all people of the world have access to safe and economical drinking water by 2030. The goal further focuses on improving the water quality by reducing contamination, eliminating waste dumping, and minimizing the emission of hazardous chemicals and materials.
Lundsby Biogas delivers green, degassed fertilizer, contributing to the goal of improving water quality by reducing contamination of our drinking water. The agricultural use of degassed biomass as field fertilizer instead of traditional, unprocessed fertilizer reduces the nitrogen stripping into our groundwater.

Sustainable Development Goal #7 SUSTAINABLE ENERGY
This Sustainable Development Goal aims to ensure access to sustainable, modern, and reliable energy supply at affordable prices by 2030. The goal further stipulates that sustainable energy in the global energy mix should be increased significantly.
Lundsby Biogas converts several tons of biomass to green and CO² neutral gas in the most efficient way by designing and building complete turnkey biogas plants. By means of upgrading solutions for biogas plants, we enable supply of biomethane to the natural gas grid, providing more people with reliable and green energy.

Sustainable Development Goal #12
RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
This Sustainable Development Goal focuses on creating solutions that reduce our impact on nature by changing the way in which we produce and utilize goods as well as resources. The purpose of the goal is to halve the global food waste by 2030 and the goal further dictates that waste handling should be conducted in an environmental responsible manner, in order to reduce waste emissions to air, water and soil.
Biogas is produced from livestock manure, industrial food production residuals and other biowaste products from private households. The biogas production utilizes materials, which would have gone to waste and contributed to waste problem for society as well as for the climate.
