The plant is designed to handle around 400,000 tons of biomass per year, corresponding to 120-gigawatt hours (GWh) worth of liquefied biogas (LBG). The Götene plant is designed to handle organic biomass which will primarily be liquid manure and deep litter from the local farms. The commissioning of the biogas plant is targeted for the beginning of 2025.
Biogas plant with upgrading of biomethane and LBG
120-gigawatt hours (GWh) liquefied biogas (LBG)
Götene Biogas is going to produce biomethane and it will be converted into liquid biomethane (LBG). LBG is the ideal energy source in terms of transport costs and sustainability and can be directly used as a fuel for heavy transport vehicles as well as ships etc.
