Shall we wait till 2025 or shall we act now?
As one of Denmark’s largest biogas developers, it is the most important task of Lundsby to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future where we, as a community, reduce CO² emissions.
Our message is clear: We have the solutions to reduce the impact on the climate here and now, so why wait any longer? Let us get on with the conversion to a green economy.
The future we all want is much cleaner and more climate friendly, so we can see our children grow up in a sustainable world. A world where the climate is taken seriously and is given the necessary attention in society. A greener future requires action and, not least, courage and a will to make a difference. We need to use the existing technologies to quickly create a solid basis for our journey towards a greener world and make huge but still responsible investments in the development of new technologies which can ensure a sustainable welfare society together.
There is more than one solution to our climate challenge, rather an abundance of opportunities, which must be combined to address the challenges. We must optimise the production of everything from foodstuffs, industrial production and technological aids based on the need to avoid wasting resources.
Simultaneously, we must ensure a high degree of recycling and minimise harmful impacts on our health and environment. We must use sun and wind as energy sources and connect our power distribution networks across frontiers in order to improve the cohesion between power consumption and production. We should use the resources provided by biological waste to produce CO² free biomethane and biomethanol.
The future is here and now! There is an enormous need for action, and the government and the minister for climate, Dan Jørgensen, agree with this. But why wait until 2025, when we have the means to reduce the impact on the climate here and now. We have the biomass – i.e. residues we generate daily from industrial and agricultural sources. We have the technology to produce biomethane sustainably as well as a nation-wide gas network that we are already using to transfer biomethane from biogas plants to industrial and private users. Upgraded plants would be able to efficiently produce biomethane and biomethanol, which will make the transport sector on land, water and in the air sustainable.

We are delighted to welcome our new COO
As part of our green growth journey, we have further strengthened Lundsby Renewable Solutions' organization. We are pleased to welcome Bo Nielsen as our new COO. Bo will start on 1 August 2023 and will have overall responsibility for managing and securing our projects...
